I’m not sure about you but we have a dummy gremlin living in our house. I buy packs of dummies and within a week they’re gone. Some turn up in the most peculiar places like the time I found one in a plant pot. Others, just don’t turn up at all. So, you can imagine my excitement when we got the chance to review some pacifier clips from Baby Wings. Finally, a method to keep those dummy gremlins at bay!
When the Pacifier clips arrived, my first thought was how they were just as vibrant and stylish as the photos showed them to be. The red, white and blue geometric patterns are perfect for both girls and boys, and the bright colours definitely attracted Little One, who was more interested in the strap than the dummy. The second thing I immediately noticed was just how soft and good quality the material was. The strap, which is made from 100% polyester, did not have the abrasive edges that I have seen on other clips, making it kinder to your baby’s skin.
Features of the Clip
The clip has been designed to provide practicality and it definitely did that. One thing that stood out was just how simple, but effective, the fastener was. Not only is it made of plastic, so doesn’t run the risk of rusting, but it was easy to attach to clothing (I have found that other brands over complicate this part).
The plastic teeth, which hold the fastener onto clothing, have just enough grip to keep the dummy in place but not too much that it snags the clothing.
To attach the dummy, the strap has a loop which makes it extremely straight forward. It also means that the clip is universal. There is a handy set of instructions to help you attach it (although I really can’t stress how easy it is).
The simple loop means that you can also attach other things such as teething toys – providing there is something to attach it to!
I thought that the strap was also a really good length. It was not too long that it posed a risk to Little One, and not too short that you were limited to where you could clip it.
Baby Wing clips comply to both the EU and US safety standards.
As I was new to the product, I wanted to check myself that there was no risk of breakage so I put it to the test using my mighty strength! I found that the clips were well made and hard wearing, especially the stitching. I pulled and tugged hard on the loop and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t snap it.
Before writing the review, I wanted to make sure that I had tried the clip in all our usual scenarios. This meant varying the type and thickness of materials on clothing. I found that the clip worked well on all the materials that we tried, which included (but not limited to) a bib, a cotton top and a winter coat.
Another huge plus is that Baby Wings offers a no questions asked, 100% money back guarantee on all their products!
Overall, my experience of Baby Wing‘s Pacifier Clips has been a positive one. They are good value for money and they deliver on exactly what they say they will – form and function. Not to mention that they’re well-styled for your little fashionistas!
